About the Owners
Colin and Melissa Reinhard are the proud owners of Paradise Donuts of Linthicum. Their two children attend Linthicum Elementary and are active in LFYAA and Andover sports.
Colin was baking from the age of two, if licking the spoon counts. One of his favorite childhood baking memories is waking up early on Christmas Eve to begin making Pinch-Me Cake, a cinnamon sugar and nut variation on monkey bread. This tradition has continued for more than 35 years, with his own children now doing the important job of pinching the dough. Colin’s grandfather, Harry, was a professional baker for Thomas’ English Muffins, back when they were made by real people. After a long career at Thomas’, Harry worked in a German bakery making many of their delicious pastries by hand.
Colin is a former Anne Arundel and Montgomery high school math teacher, curriculum writer, and department chair. His educational highlights include being a four-time recipient of most influential teacher and Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ Outstanding Secondary Teacher award.
Melissa works as an engineering manager at a local technology company and serves the community as the LFYAA Basketball Commissioner. She loves the holidays and staying up late making batch after batch of cookies for our neighbors’ tins. Melissa is most proud of the birthday cakes she makes for the children’s parties. Whether it’s a baseball stadium, a tiki hut, or even the Saturn V rocket, she’s up for whatever the kids request!
